Elect Dan Holladay as Clackamas County Commissioner

For the last eight years the Clackamas County commission has been dominated by elected officials who have neglected the needs of the citizens in favor of their own agenda; which is dominated by Metro, Multnomah County and the city of Portland. I am running to change that environment in Clackamas County. First and foremost I would start by listening and representing you, the citizens of Clackamas County. One simple change I would encourage my fellow commissioners to do is hold one board meeting a month in the evening to ensure the working citizens in Clackamas County can access and have a better voice in the governing process.

As a former business owner, branch manager and division manager of electrical contracting companies I understand what it takes to start and manage a business that provides real family wage jobs. As a member of IBEW Local 48 I have experienced firsthand what this recession has done to my family as well as many other families in Clackamas County.

We can provide a place where business is not only welcomed but encouraged. Not just some businesses that the elite think are good but ALL businesses. We can provide the environment where job creators want to locate and where existing businesses feel confident in their future within the county. Creating an environment where new businesses want to relocate and existing businesses will expand is a top priority for me. Having served as an Oregon City Commissioner, School Board member, Urban Renewal Commissioner and South Fork Water Board member has helped prepare me to serve you as your newest County Commissioner.
